Police investigating lawnmower death in Danby

DANBY, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Vermont State Police are currently investigating the death of a resident from Danby. Police say Ransom Goodell IV, 47, was servicing a commercial lawnmower when it fell on him, causing him significant injuries. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Police say Goodell IV was working on a lawnmower around 1:30 p.m. when it fell on him. Life-saving efforts were performed by emergency services, but Goodell was pronounced dead a short time later. Police say the death does not appear suspicious, and an investigation into the incident is active and ongoing. An autopsy will be conducted at the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington. Police did not release any more information regarding the case.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Derek Hough is bringing his "Symphony of Dance" tour to the Palace Theatre in Albany. Hough is a professional dancer, choreographer, actor and singer. He was a dancer on "Dancing with the Stars" from 2007 to 2016, winning the show a record-breaking six times with his celebrity partners. Hough is currently a judge on the show.The Palace performance will explore a multitude of dance styles including ballroom, tap, salsa, hip-hop and everything in between. Two-time EMMY winners, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, also known as NappyTab, will co-create, direct and supervise choreography for the tour.  Comedian Ilana Glazer to perform at MASS MoCA Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 28 at 10 a.m. You can buy tickets on the Ticketmaster website.

House fire in south St. Louis City

3 suspects arrested in rock-throwing spree homicide that killed Alexa Bartell in west metro Denver

Alexa Bartell, 20 (Provided by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department)Jefferson County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested three 18-year-old suspects from Arvada in the rock-throwing death of 20-year-old Alexa Bartell.The investigators made the arrests during the night at Arvada homes and officials early Wednesday announced they’d taken the three into custody. Officials identified the suspects as Joseph Koenig, Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik, and Zachary Kwak. In a news release, officials said the three will face charges of first-degree murder with extreme indifference.All three are suspected of throwing rocks, and additional charges are expected to be filed, pending determinations by the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, authorities said.A suspect vehicle has been identified — a black 2016 Chevy Silverado, authorities said. Man shot while driving, crashes car into wall in Chatsworth: LAPD

A teenaged man crashed his car into a wall after he was shot while driving in Chatsworth Tuesday night.The 18-year-old was behind the wheel of a white Toyota Corolla in the 21000 block of Plummer Street a few minutes before 8 p.m. when another man who was standing on the sidewalk opened fire on the teen's vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The teen was struck at least one time and crashed his vehicle into a low wall, which did not appear to be damaged. The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The shooter was an adult man, possibly of Armenian heritage, the LAPD said.Alexis Lewis contributed to this report.
